Who are “we”
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you register membership, or provide the annual Return of Office-bearers. We may also collect information when you voluntarily complete forms, provide information for presentations by Provincial Office-bearers, or register on the Provincial Grand Lodge of Argyll and The Isles website. Website information may be collected when you voluntarily register to use the member’s only area; if/when we have one.
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to facilitate the administration of the Province, as membership details are necessary for this. We use details to communicate with Lodge Members and Members of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Argyll & the Isles, so they are informed of events, meetings and news in the Province.
Where it is necessary for the effective administration of the Craft, we shall pass on your personal information to Grand Lodge as/when required by them, within the Constitution and Laws of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. The Provincial Grand Lodge of Argyll and The Isles will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other organisations. Where personal information is requested for law enforcement purposes and accompanied by the appropriate paperwork, we will share what is necessary for the prevention and detection of crime.
What is our lawful basis for processing personal data?
Our lawful basis for processing personal data is, “legitimate interests,” as defined in Article 6(1) of the GDPR. The legitimate interests pursued by us are, the effective administration and governance of Freemasonry in the Province of Argyll and The Isles.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some, or all of your personal information, please email or write to the Provincial Grand Secretary at the address provided below. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct, or delete information you think is inaccurate.
