FC Degree at Lodge Glencoe No 884

A very pleased and possibly relieved RWM, Donnie MacGillivray, joins the candidate and his grandfather

Write-up from Jimmy McCallum, past Provincial Grand Secretary:

I enjoyed a very successful visit to Lodge Glencoe, No 884 last night. It was great to see the place crammed to the rafters 🙂 RWM, Fraser Harvey had the pleasure of leading a deputation of over 20 into an already busy Lodge.

One candidate, Bro. Ryan Higginson was then passed to the FCD in an expert manner by RWM Donald MacGillivray and his degree team. Although the brethren have had a lean time with candidates and members, it is clear they put a great deal of time and effort into producing ritual work of the highest standard and are able to convey this to candidates in a relaxed and personal manner. Saying that, it was great to see the candidate’s grandfather, PM John Kennedy, explain the tracing board 🙂

We were also privileged to have the PGM, Bro. John D. Stewart in attendance. He thoroughly enjoyed the night and praised Bro. Higginson for his obvious enthusiasm for the Craft, having already met him in various Lodges around the Province.

The RWM concluded by inviting brethren to the Lodge Installation on Monday, 4th December. They plan to start at 7 p.m., but will take visitors in later.

All in all, a very enjoyable and encouraging evening.
