Special Meeting Lodge Dunoon Argyll No 335 Sat 14th March – CANCELLED!

Please note, the special meeting of Lodge Dunoon Argyll, No.335 on Saturday,14th March 2020, at 2.30pm, to host a visitation by Lodge Union and Crown, No.307 has now been cancelled due to concerns re the spread of coronavirus. Sincere apologies from the RWM and brethren of 335, who hope you appreciate the reasoning behind this difficult decision.
In this regard, please be assured the PGM and myself are in regular and frequent contact about this issue. On the basis there are no known cases in NHS Highland, we have decided to leave guidance as at present and will review again on Monday (or, possibly Tuesday?) by which time we “hope” Grand Lodge will have an updated position on this.

PGL Golf, Inellan Golf Course

Thanks to everyone who took part, all who helped organise, particularly Andy Gilles, 1435, Innellan Golf Club for fine hospitality and Depute PGM, Br., Kenny Harvey for presenting the trophies and a generous vote of thanks, which was well appreciated by all present. A fine day of golf was had by all, despite some rain and the odd midge, or one million 🙂 Hopefully, see everyone next year. Venue still to be decided.

Some of the big trophy winners :-

  • Team Champs – St Munn, Ardnadam A (193 – better 4th score over Dunoon Argyll A)
  • Scratch Champion – Donald MacKay (66)
  • Nett Champion – Kevin Barton (60)
  • Jimmy Johnstone Trophy – Ronnie Campbell (34 Points)

Installation at Lodge Glencoe No 884

A very nice installation in our “other” Province, recently, at Lodge Glencoe, No.884, where Master Elect John Docherty was installed for his second year in office by PM John Kennedy of Lodge Lochiel No.1200. There was a very good turnout from within and without the province to see proceedings, with an Installing Board of 24 reigning or PMs!
Provincial Grand Lodge was represented by Depute PGM Bro. Kenneth Harvey, who made special comment of the dedicated efforts of various brethren to keep the Lodge going despite difficult times, and wished newly installed Master and office-bearers all the best for the coming year.
John was delighted to be supported by two of his brethren, who travelled from Lodge Carron No.139 to be there and joined the excellent harmony which followed. Thank you 884 for the very enjoyable meeting and hospitality.
